Rockfall Espresso Martini

Ingredients

50mls Rockfall Rum

50mls Kahlua or Tia Maria

50mls Espresso

Coffee beans to garnish

Method

Grab a cocktail shaker and add a handful of ice, the Rockfall, the coffee liqueur, and the espresso.

Shake really well until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels very cold to the touch.

Serve in a martini glass and add a couple of coffee beans on to the top of the drink.

Back in the day when we used to go out for dinner, pre-Covid, an espresso martini was our absolute go-to cocktail to start the evening. And if we were carrying on the evening it would be the quick fix caffeine pick me up to get us on the dance floor afterwards. As a classic vodka cocktail (that we love) we didn’t think it was one we wanted to play around with but we can assure you that an ultra-smooth spiced rum in an espresso martini is a truly wonderful addition. Spiced rum adds a depth of flavour to this rich coffee cocktail, as do the caramel and vanilla notes of Rockfall. We feel quietly confident that a Rockfall Espresso Martini will become a classic rum cocktail in its own right.
